Star Marine was founded in 1993 with the introduction of the CAD-designed
Cape Cod Canary; a sharpie-style, 10'4" boat offered in a rowing and also a sailing version.  The following year Star Marine introduced its Dana Dinghy; an 8' rowing pram.  The sailing version was offered later that same year.

 During the 1997 season we were encouraged by our dealer network to design and build a small, power skiff to be marketed as an alternative to the 13' Boston Whaler  but with a reasonable price tag.  Thus, the introduction of the
Swift Skiff; a 12'3", self-bailing power boat.  The Swift Skiff has been well received with its fine, classic lines and great price.  With the 5'2" beam and  hard-chine hull, the Swift Skiff is exceptionally stable.
